Embark on an Evocative Journey to Southern Thailand at The Siam Tea Room

Bangkok, Thailand, September 29, 2025The Siam Tea Room, the authentic Thai restaurant and casual café at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, invites hotel guests and local residents to embark on a culinary journey to the exotic provinces of Southern Thailand this October and November, with its new “Southern Thai Treasure.”

The restaurant’s talented Thai chefs have crafted a selection of exquisite dishes that showcase the flavors and fragrances of Thailand’s South, one of the kingdom’s four distinct culinary regions. With authentic local and seasonal ingredients, including freshly caught seafood and heady herbs and spices, each special dish will transport diners’ senses to this tropical region.

Six limited-time menu items are available. Khao Yum Pla Foo is a sublime Southern-style herbal rice salad with tender leaves, fluffy fish and fermented fish dressing, while Bai Leang Tom Kati is a wonderfully light and aromatic coconut soup with malindjo leaves and locally-sourced banana shrimps. Seafood lovers can also savor Sato Pad Goong, a vibrant plate of stir-fried prawns with sato, chili, garlic and shrimp paste.

Geang Som Pla Kapong Yod Maprao showcases fresh golden snapper in rich Southern-style yellow curry with young coconut shoots, while Moo Hong presents the finest braised streaky pork, cooked to perfection in the traditional local style. Every lunch or dinner can then end with a delectable dessert of Kanom Hua Lan, glutinous rice dumplings in salted coconut sauce.

The “Southern Thai Treasure” will be available at The Siam Tea Room for two months, from October 1 until November 30, 2025 (11.00 – 22.30 hrs). Prices start from just THB 230 per dish, and advanced reservations are recommended.
